# Deriv MT5: Trading in Synthetic Indices Market

Hello Deriv Community,

To trade on Synthetic Indices on the Deriv MT5 platform, you will need to create a \*\*Derived \*\* account under DMT5 either on Demo or Real account accordingly.

After choosing your preferred account, you may follow the steps below to create a new account:

1. Click on this link; [Deriv App | Deriv](https://app.deriv.com/appstore/traders-hub)
2. Choose the correct tab and click “Add demo account” or “Add real account”
3. Choose a jurisdiction
4. Set a strong password
5. You will receive an email once your Deriv MT5 account is successfully created

You will be able to view the account number via the same link as above upon successfully creating it.
