# The Requirement Needed When Registering An Account

Hello Deriv Community members,

Upon **[registering an account with Deriv](https://deriv.com/signup/)**, all you need is an **email address** and **personal details like name, address, date of birth, and country of residence**.

While the email address is required at the very beginning, providing personal details comes at the latter stage when you want to create a real account. It is also important to note that the email address must never have been used to register with Deriv before.

At some stage of your account activity, you will be needing to provide the following documents:

- Identity verification documents
- Address verification documents
