# To change the account’s currency

You can [change](https://deriv.app/cashier) the base currency of your fiat account before completing your first deposit or creating an MT5 account.

Once you have made a deposit or created a DMT5 account, you can only change it by [contacting Customer Support](https://deriv.com/contact-us).

Do make sure that your available balance is fully withdrawn before contacting us on the changes.

_How do I withdraw my funds before changing my base/fiat currency?_  
You may go to the [Cashier](https://deriv.app/cashier/deposit) section to withdraw all the funds from your [Deriv.com](https://app.deriv.com/) account.
