Dear Deriv Community members,

Are there still markets where you can trade on Saturdays and Sundays?

There are two markets that never sleep which you can trade on Deriv — [synthetic indices](https://deriv.com/markets/synthetic/) and [cryptocurrencies](https://deriv.com/markets/cryptocurrencies/).

Why trade on the weekend?

1. [Weekend trading](https://deriv.com/blog/posts/weekend-trading-on-deriv) gives you more time and opportunities to take advantage of price movements.
2. More flexibility to trade at your convenience where you can enjoy the freedom to choose the hours that best fit your schedule.
3. Trades you make during the week can continue through the weekend even if the market is closed.

Benefits of weekend trading:

- You have the time to review your trading journal.
- To evaluate the changes you need to implement in your strategies if they are not working in your favour.
- A good time to review whether you’ve let your emotions influence your trading decisions.

You can always practice your [weekend trading](https://deriv.com/blog/posts/weekend-trading-on-deriv) skills first by starting with a free [demo account.](https://deriv.com/signup/) This account comes pre-loaded with 10,000 USD of virtual money that you can use and top up when it runs out. Once you feel comfortable with your trading, you can easily switch to a real account.

**Disclaimer** : Some markets would charge fees if you left the trade overnight. However, it will depend on the markets you choose to trade.

Hope the above information is useful for everyone.
