- To generate your personalized default MetaTrader template, adhere to these instructions:
- Personalize the colors of the chart and bars to your preference.
- Specify your preferred scale.
- Choose your desired chart type.
- Add the indicators you require and adjust their configurations.
- Load and configure the desired EA.
- Right-click on the chart and select “Template”, or click the “Templates” button located in the Charts toolbar.
- Choose “Save Template”…
- Name the template “Default” and select “Save”. You will receive a prompt to overwrite the existing default template.
- You can utilize a similar procedure to create additional templates that you can apply whenever necessary.
After creating your personalized default template, you’ll be pleased to know that your settings will persist even if you restart MetaTrader 5. This is particularly beneficial because the template will automatically implement indicators that align with your trading strategy, which often involves multiple indicators.
By creating a default template, you’ll be able to save time and have a chart readily available for analysis with just two clicks.
