Social login is a form of single sign-on using existing information from a social networking service such as Facebook, Apple ID, or Google, to sign in to a third-party website instead of creating a new login account specifically for that website.

It allows users to authenticate themselves on various applications and sites by connecting through a social media site rather than typing a separate ID and password on each website.

For the Deriv website, on the sign-up page (Online trading with Deriv | Simple. Flexible. Reliable.), you may choose which social account you would like to sign-up with as per the below image.

If you have logged in using the social account, and having trouble signing in due to a forgotten password, you can reset your Deriv account password to log in to your account.

Once you have reset your password the social signup option will be removed from your profile automatically.
