Important: Google Blockly update V10 affects Deriv Bot XML files

Hello Deriv Community,

We would like to inform you about a change that may affect your Deriv Bot trading.

What’s new?

Google Blockly, which Deriv Bot uses, has updated to version 10. This update means variable names in XML files are no longer case-sensitive.

How does this affect you?

If you have XML files with variables that are spelled the same but use different cases (e.g., ‘User’ and ‘USER’), you might see the following error message: “XML file contains unsupported elements.”

What should you do?

  1. Check your XML files for variables with the exact spelling but different cases.
  2. Change these variables to use the same case.
  3. Test your strategies to make sure they work correctly.

Due to the Blockly V10 update, the process may have changed—here’s how to upload an XML file to keep your Deriv Bot working properly.
