Hello Deriv Team,
I would like to submit a security and improvement proposal to help strengthen the Deriv P2P ecosystem and improve protection for all users.
These suggestions are based on practical P2P trading experience and are intended to support safer and more transparent trading.
1. 2FA Protection Suggestion
If a client account has 2FA disabled, and login activity is detected from different countries or unusual locations, the system could:
Temporarily restrict withdrawals
Request additional verification
Prompt users to enable 2FA before withdrawal
This would help protect client funds from unauthorized access.
2. Suspicious Login Activity Observation
Based on community experience, some unauthorized access cases appear to involve logins from unexpected locations or different countries.
Introducing stronger location-based security checks could reduce account misuse and improve platform safety.
3. P2P Trade Milestone Tags (Future Improvement)
I understand that:
100+ Trades Yellow Tag
250+ Trades Green Tag
are already available.
For future updates, it would be helpful to:
Improve badge visibility in P2P ads
Highlight trusted traders more clearly
Help new users identify experienced traders faster
4. New User Red Tag Suggestion
Adding a Red “NEW” tag for newly registered P2P advertisers could:
Improve transparency
Help users recognize new accounts easily
Reduce risk for beginner traders
Expected Benefits
Stronger client fund protection
Improved P2P trust and transparency
Safer trading decisions for new users
Reduced fraud risk
Thank you for considering these suggestions to further enhance Deriv P2P safety and user experience.
Best regards,
