As an active P2P trader and service provider on Deriv, I have observed that while the platform offers a convenient peer‑to‑peer system, there is currently no official “Verified P2P Agent” status to distinguish trusted, high‑performing agents from new or unverified users.

Introducing such a system could significantly improve user confidence, transaction speed, and platform safety.

1. Current Challenge

  • New users often hesitate to trade with unfamiliar agents due to fear of scams or delays.

  • There is no visible badge or status to indicate an agent’s proven track record, reliability, or compliance with Deriv’s rules.

  • This lack of differentiation can slow down trades and reduce overall P2P activity.

  • 2. Proposed Solution

    Implement a Verified P2P Agent Badge that appears next to the agent’s name in the P2P marketplace.

    Verification Criteria Could Include:

    • Fully verified Deriv account (KYC completed)

    • Minimum number of successful trades (e.g., 100+)

    • High completion rate (e.g., 98%+)

    • Consistently fast payment confirmation/release times

    • No unresolved disputes in the last 90 days

    • Agreement to follow Deriv’s P2P code of conduct

      • Boosts Trust: New traders can quickly identify reliable agents.

      • Increases Volume: More users will trade confidently, raising transaction numbers.

      • Reduces Disputes: Verified agents are more likely to follow best practices.

      • 4. Implementation Suggestions

        • Add a green “Verified Agent” badge visible in search results and trade windows.

        • Create a Verified Agent Leaderboard to showcase top performers.

        • Offer priority listing for verified agents to encourage participation.

        • Provide periodic re‑verification to maintain quality.

-Never release the funds without receiving the payment in your payment method account first.
-Only use the P2P chatbox to communicate with other parties.
-Do use the block feature and the user rating feature while transacting, if you wish to stop transacting with certain users.
-Do not click on any suspicious link or share your personal information.
