Verification Email before releasing the funds!

Hi Deriv Community Members, :bulb:

We have rolled out new two-factor authentication (2FA) to better protect your Deriv account from fraudulent activities. It adds more security to your account with an additional code and a password.

Before releasing the funds to the buyer, the seller needs to confirm if he/she has received the payment paid by the buyer as per agreed and posted on the Sell Ad.

A verification email will be sent to the seller’s registered email address to confirm the payment.

Kindly refer to the steps below on how does the releasing process works:-

Step 1 : Click on the “I’ve received payment” button in the specific order dashboard.

Step 2 : A dialog box will be prompted and you will need to confirm the details of the amount that you have posted on your Ad as a seller. To make the “Release” button enabled for you, kindly click on the “I’ve received XXX” checkbox.

Step 3 : Another dialog box will appear to inform you that an email was sent to your registered email address for verification. Please be reminded that the verification email link will expire within 10 minutes.

Step 4 : You will receive an email as follows to confirm your order from Deriv.

Step 5 : Another dialog box will appear to make sure that you have confirmed to receive the payment from the buyer.

Step 6 : You will also be prompted with a dialog box to rate the transaction process.

Step 7 : The order will show as “Completed” when the release process is successful

Disclaimer : Please be aware that you will be receiving an error message as follows if you have exceeded the number of attempts (3 times) and you will need to wait for 30 minutes before you can initiate another verification email.
