Setting up the two-factor authentication (2FA) for your account

Two-factor authentication is an extra layer of security designed to ensure that you’re the only person who can access your account. So, how to set up this security feature?

1 - Scan the QR code with your 2FA app. We recommend Authy or Google Authenticator. We do not support Duo Mobile.

2 - Enter the authentication code generated by your 2FA app.

After these two simple steps, your account will be more secure and ready to go!

What is Authy?

Authy enables a PIN and biometric authentication like TouchID to protect data against unauthorized use . Plus, Authy encrypts all backups, so your data is protected against breaches. If a user loses their device, the cloud-based backups allow them to easily access their passwords again on another device.

How to set up Authy for Android

  1. Set up 2FA with Authy
  2. Download the Authy app
  3. Enter your mobile phone number
  4. Enter the email address of the Google account to use
  5. Click the link in the text message or enter the code
  6. Add a new Authy account with a backup password
  7. Set up 2FA for Google
  8. Enter your My Account screen in your Google account.

How to set up Authy for IOS

  1. Open the Authy iOS app.
  2. Tap the Red + sign at the bottom of the screen for Add Account.
  3. Tap the desired option, and follow the prompts
  4. Select the icon (if desired) and enter an account name, then tap Done.
  5. You’ll now see a new 2FA code for this account in Authy.

How to set up Google Authenticator on Android

  1. On your Android device, go to your Google Account.
  2. At the top, tap the Security tab. If at first you don’t get the Security tab, swipe through all tabs until you find it.
  3. Under “Signing in to Google,” tap 2-Step Verification.
  4. Under “Authenticator app,” tap Set up.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps.

How to Set up Google Authenticator on IOS

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, go to your Google Account.
  2. At the top, tap Security.
  3. Under “Signing in to Google,” tap 2-Step Verification. You may need to sign in.
  4. Under “Add more second steps to verify it’s you,” find “Authenticator app” and tap Set up.
  5. Follow the on-screen steps.
